Established in 1944, Hermanus Child & Family Services is a South African child protection Non-Profit Organisation (NPO), that has been approved as public benefit organisation by the South African Revenue Service.
The organisation is led by a board of volunteer members, who provide leadership and strategic vision to the organisation. This vision is carried out by suitably qualified staff members who report to the board.
With our head office in Mount Pleasant, Hermanus, we work within our demarcated service areas of Mount Pleasant, Zwelihle, Sandbaai, Onrus, Vermont and Paradise Park, Hermanus, Western Cape.
As a Designated Child Protection Organisation (DCPO) we provide child protection services for children in need of care as defined by the Children’s Act. This care includes foster care and alternate placement supervision and family reunification to children and families in need.
Proactively, we also run preventative programmes and provide early childhood development services.

You contribution will go directly towards effective services to the growing numbers of vulnerable children. You can make a once-off, monthly or annual donation.
As an approved public benefit organisation, donations to the organisation will be tax deductible and donations to the organisation are exempt from donations tax.
We welcome donations. Previously loved children’s books, musical instruments, craft supplies, clothing, toys and home goods.
