- What is the dress code for the event?
The dress code is formal. - What is the purpose of the event?
The event aims to raise funds for Hermanus Child and Family Services, with all proceeds supporting our child protection head-office upgrade. This project includes the development of a vital child protection and therapy centre.
TICKETS AND REGISTRATION
- How can I purchase tickets?
Tickets can be purchased online HERE. - What is the cost of a ticket?
Tickets are priced at R1500 per person. Contact us for options for tables or group purchases. - Will there be fundraising appeals?
No. because this is a birthday celebration, it is our joy to give back. There will be a lucky draw with items such as holiday breakaways.
DINING AND AMENITIES
- Why the Hermanus Golf Club?
The Golf Club is the only venue big enough, central enough and warm enough for our big bash. - How many people will be seated at a table?
We will have tables of 6, 8 and 10. You can WhatsApp Claire Hugo (see below) with the names of people you would like at your table. - What drinks will be included?
Each person will receive welcome drinks and each couple, one bottle of wine. - What type of food will be served?
The menu includes oysters, abalone, and shoulder of lamb with various sides and desserts.
The food will be prepared by “TWO CHEFS” Hermanus. - Are there options for dietary restrictions?
Yes, please indicate any dietary restrictions during ticket purchase. - Is there a bar?
There will be a cash bar serving various beverages. - Is parking available?
Yes, there is ample secure parking available at the venue
MUSIC
The music for the evening will be a dance journey through the last 80 years, provided by Adrian Fowler, a Cape Town-based musician, drummer, and DJ. Having earned his stripes in the local and international music industry, Adian’s DJ career has taken off ever since landing a weekly Vinyl Residency at the Hermanus Country Market. Adrian is well versed in all genres.
In addition, a performance by Lynette Violinist will make the night extra special. Lynette is a passionate musician with a Bachelor of Music from Stellenbosch University Conservatory (Cum Laude). Her career has spanned performances at renowned venues, high-profile corporate events, and elegant weddings worldwide. Notable achievements include performing for Princess Charlene of Monaco and being featured on film soundtracks like “Klein Karoo 2.” Lynette has also played with the award-winning group Sterling EQ and appeared on Kyknet Ontbytsake.
PARTICIPATION AND CONTRIBUTIONS
- Can I make a donation if I cannot attend?
Yes, donations can be made online HERE, or by direct deposits (info on our website HERE. - Is my ticket purchase tax-deductible?
No, unfortunately, SARS allows us to issue Section 18A Certificates for outright donations. - How will the funds raised be used?
Funds raised will support the building and equipping a unique multidisciplinary child protection and therapy centre. This centre will be the hub of our child protection legal work as well as play therapy, and family bonding and attachment programmes.
