Since its humble beginnings in 1944, Hermanus Child and Family Services (HCFS) has been at the forefront of supporting the well-being of the Hermanus community. From its inception in the home of Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Sims, where a group of dedicated individuals discussed the formation of a welfare society, HCFS has grown into a pillar of child and family support.
Over the decades, HCFS has adapted to the changing needs of the community, establishing crèches, opening foster homes, and creating centers dedicated to protecting and nurturing children. This timeline reflects the milestones that have shaped our journey of care and commitment.
